Our achievements

1.	Every 10 years, like other districts, Krishi Census-2008 was conducted by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics in Gaibandha in 2006, which gives a good idea about the agriculture-oriented Bangladesh.
2.	Every 10 years, like other districts, Gaibandha in 2011 was conducted by the Bureau of Statistics of Bangladesh.
3.	The Maternal and Child Nutrition Survey, conducted in 2012, provides detailed information on the quality of life of mothers and babies.
4.	Every 10 years, like other districts, the Economic Census 2013 was conducted by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics in Gaibandha in 2013, which gives an idea about the economic standard of living in Gaibandha including Bangladesh.
5.	The slum census conducted in 2014 provides an idea about the quality of life of slum dwellers.
6.	A survey on natural disasters was conducted in 2014 to get an idea of the disaster situation in Gaibandha district.
7.	Technical and vocational survey was conducted in 2015. Through this, the number of technical and vocational students in Gaibandha district gives an idea about the situation of their education system.
8.	A survey on violence against women was conducted in 2015. There is an idea about the extent to which women are being treated unfairly and their willingness or reluctance is being assessed.
9.	A survey on household income and expenditure was conducted in 2016. It provides an idea of how much food a person eats on a daily basis to earn an income.
10.	In 2016, for the first time, the government realized the need for a database of all households and started the work of the National Household Database. According to that source, the National Household Database was completed very successfully in Gaibandha district.
11.	Besides, there are 31 PSUs of MSVSB project in Gaibandha district. Through which a picture of the whole Gaibandha district emerges through the number of births, deaths, marriages, divorces, arrivals, departures, birth control methods and the number of persons with disabilities in Gaibandha district.
12.	Every month, inflation is provided through a survey of food and non-food items, which provides an idea of the quality of life of the people.
13.	Besides, the accounts of 08 major and 128 minor crops were sent to BBS Dhaka head office through Gaibandha district office so that the quantity of crops produced in Gaibandha district could be known through statistics.
